The BC Seniors Games Society, organizer of the annual 55+ BC Games, is pleased to announce the hiring of Maureen Barranoik as an Event Manager.
Maureen, from Penticton, is no stranger to multisport Games as she worked as the Operations Manager for the very successful 2016 BC Winter Games. In her new role she will draw upon her experience working with the 55+ community in the Get Active Penticton Community initiate and the Actively Aging Program which share our goal of improving the health and lifestyle of the 55+ community. Maureen is looking forward to “working with such an inspiring group of competitors. It is such an honor to be a part of this passionate Games community”.
Maureen will be assisting the organizing committees of the Host Societies of the Vernon & Area 2017 55+ BC Games which take place September 12 to 16, 2017 and future Games in Kimberley/Cranbrook and Kelowna to produce an event that showcases the outstanding athleticism of BC’s 55+ competitors and promotes the benefits of leading an active, healthy lifestyle.
